Christmas Church Service & Jõulupuu

Christmas church service and Christmas gathering is scheduled for Saturday December 16th at the Latvian Church, 83 Main St., Ottawa. The Church Service will take place at 3 p.m. and the Christmas gathering will follow in the church basement at 4:30 p.m.
 
Santa Claus will be arriving from the North with gifts for children and looks forward to hearing poems and songs from children.
Children’s Christmas presents: please register with Ene Tikovt at enet@bell.net or 613-226-3680 by Thursday December 7.
 
For the potluck meal, the Ottawa Estonian Society will provide blood sausages, wieners and drinks. Please bring either a side dish or sweets for dessert

Christmas church service and Christmas gathering

The Christmas Church Service will take place at 3 p.m. and the Christmas gathering will follow in the church basement at 4:30 p.m.

for the Ottawa Estonian Christmas church service  followed by our traditional family Jõulupuu. Events being held at the Peace Latvian Ev Lutheran Church on Main St. as in previous years.

The Christmas Church Service will take place at 3 p.m. (church doors open about 2:30 p.m.) and the Christmas gathering will follow in the church basement at 5:00 p.m.

Santa Claus will be arriving from the North and looks forward to children reciting poems and singing songs.

For the potluck meal, the Ottawa Estonian Society will be providing sausages, wieners and drinks.  Please bring either a side dish (sauerkraut would be very welcome) or sweets for dessert

As in previous years, admission is free to the Christmas gathering, however donations will be accepted.

Jõulupuu 2014

The Estonian Christmas Church Service will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20th at the Latvian Peace Ev. Lutheran Church, at the corner of Main and Lees St., with Pastor Kalle Kadakas from Toronto officiating.

The service will be followed by our traditional Christmas family gathering. Everyone is asked to contribute to the evening’s potluck table. Volunteers who can arrive earlier for setting up and post party cleanup are much appreciated.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the signing of the notorious Molotov-Ribbentrop Treaty.
A remembrance service will take place on Saturday August 23rd at 7 p.m..
at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine,
952 Green Valley Cres., off of Prince of Wales, north of Heron Road.
The keynote speaker will be Member of Parliament Mr. Tom Lukiwiski

We hope to see a good turnout from the Estonian community.
